Covid Inspired Doughnuts for Helen Porter Rehab & Nursing

In appreciation of all that local front-line workers do to serve our community, the Middlebury Lions have made a delicious donation to the nursing staff at Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing. This donation was 3 dozen COVID-inspired doughnuts. Middlebury Lion Randy Bigelow worked with Lindsay of Middlebury Bagel & Deli to create the edible artwork. King Lion Jesse Gillette and Director Randy Bigelow presented the doughnuts to the nursing staff on a crisp Friday morning.

600,000 11-13 year old students worldwide have participated in the Lions International Peace Poster Competition. This year’s theme was “Peace Through Service”. The Deerfield Valley Lions Club is proud to announce our first prize & statewide winner Islynn Crafts. Kiara Crafts won second prize.

Vermont Lions Charities Donates to the Vermont Foodbank

On Friday morning, November 13, 2020, on behalf of Vermont Lions Charities, PDG Ken Emery, as Past President of Vermont Lions Charities, and Lion Rick Theken, former Zone 4 chair and member of the Barre Lions Club, presented another $5,000 check to Allison Mindel, of the Vermont Foodbank. This has made the total donation $15,000 since March/April, about the time the coronavirus pandemic crisis started. 
PDG Ken is seen signing and, with Lion Rick, holding, a copy of a 'check' representing the total donated to Vermont Lions Charities.
