We Serve AND Do Good Deeds!
- by Lion Michael Cabral
Colchester Lions Club joined with our Chartered Colchester Boy Scout Troop 601 on March 4 at a combined joint Dinner Meeting. Our objective was to have the Scouts, leaders, parents and Lions learn more about each other’s organization and how we complement each other - Scout’s mantra of ‘Do Good Deeds’ and Lion’s Motto ‘We Serve’ illustrate that so well.
We melded our opening with a brief Greeting to Lions, Scouts and families followed by the Scout Troop forming and posting of the Colors, Pledge of Allegiance, Scout Oath by the Scouts and the Lions provided the Invocation and a Lions Toast. Then, pizza, salad and dessert!

A homemade soup/sandwich meal is provided for all presenting donors, Red Cross staff and community volunteers. Troy and Area Lions Club members contribute approximately 20 hours per blood drive to make the events successful. Providing Information to D45 Lions
Dear District 45 Members,
A few years ago we put together a new website for Vermont Lions to tell our story at www.vermontlions.org. The go-to guy for that was Lion Randy Bigelow. He’s been the man behind the curtain ensuring the site gets updated regularly with news of club events. It has been a lot of work and Lion Randy is stepping aside to allow others to continue managing the website. He is continuing his work with the Middlebury Lions as well as the vision project for the District. He’s not going anywhere. Thank you Lion Randy!
